Website Developer

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Website Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a deep understanding of responsive design principles. You will collaborate with our design and development teams to create visually compelling and high-performance websites.

Key Responsibilities:

• WordPress Development: Build, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins
• Front-End Development: Develop responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Performance Optimization: Enhance website performance, speed, and SEO
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct regular updates, testing, and debugging
• Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure websites function seamlessly across all major browsers and devices
• Custom Integrations: Develop and integrate APIs, third-party services, and custom functionalities as per project needs
• Security: Implement and maintain security best practices to protect websites from vulnerabilities and threats
• Collaboration: Work closely with content creators, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to implement their requirements effectively
• Documentation: Maintain proper documentation for themes, plugins, and custom code for team knowledge sharing and future maintenance

Technical Requirements:

• Experience: 4-8 years of professional experience in WordPress development and front-end technologies.
• Proficiency: Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Responsive Design: Experience creating responsive and mobile-friendly designs.
• Performance: Expertise in optimizing site performance and user experience.
• Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and SEO best practices.
• Security Knowledge: Awareness of WordPress security best practices and tools
• Database Management: Experience with MySQL databases, including optimization and data migrations.
• UI/UX Principles: Basic understanding of design principles and the ability to translate wireframes into functional web pages.
• Automation & CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

Preferred Skills:

• Accessibility: Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) to create inclusive web experiences.
• SEO: Advanced knowledge of SEO principles and tools.
• Modern Frameworks: Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
• Multi-Language Support: Experience working with multi-language websites using tools like WPML.
• Project Management Tools: Experience with tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana for efficient project management.
• Testing: Familiarity with automated and manual testing tools (e.g., Selenium) to ensure website quality.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree: In Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
